Its true, they do. Or at least this one does. Keeping chickens inside your house for the summer isn’t for everyone, especially if you don’t like to clean poop 5 times a day. Luckily, this girl is use to it. Since i work at a group home, my poop cleaning is quite often. I say this with as much grace and wisdom as possible: if you can’t handle poop, you can’t handle chickens.
Mardigan is the largest chicken, so we have categorized her as the caretaker of the bunch. She is, however, utterly terrified of other birds. During outside time, she will fling her wings and scurry in a circle, only to precede with the dirtiest look as if it was your fault. Mardigan enjoys brutally pecking at floral dresses in case of hidden treasures like bugs or dirt
Chuck is second chicken in charge. She will look deeply and thoughtfully into your eyes, tricking you into thinking she can read your thoughts. Chuck enjoys standing on shoulders (as seen above) as well as heads. She is the ballsiest of the chickens, usually going first in anything to make sure the coast is clear.
Dorito we have classified as autistic, although i don’t think doritos iq level classifies her anything but. She also thinks shes a duck, or donkey. Dorito enjoys searcing for white flies and skillfully not moving when picking her up. If you catch her in the night time, she will find your hair and nestle into it, tickling you neck and making chatter noises. When she realizes you are human, she will donkey noise her way out of that mess
The 120 degree weather has prompted us to keep these ladies inside, as we now know first hand when we gave our rooster away and died hours later from not being acclimated. In a few months, these babies will be back outside and no longer cave chickens. Stay tune for more updates 🙂
I love chocolate. I also love chocolate cake or anything revolving cake and chocolate in the same sentence. In my little town when i discovered Target carries vegan chocolate chips (enjoi), my mind went in every direction.
This low fat, delicious cake is proof that you can eat healthy and get your chocolate fix. this cake is best cut into baby squares and served with coffee or tea, or late at night when you’re feeling like a bloated cow.
